On the other side of the world, in a tiny country called Nepal, there is a group of amazing children; the children of Nepal Orphans Home. Each boy and girl comes from a unique background and circumstance. Some are orphans, some were street children, and some were Kamlari (indentured servants/child slaves).
Nepal Orphans Home relies entirely on outside donations; it’s affiliate Volunteer Nepal and the kindness of others to continue its life-changing work. This remarkable mission has extended across the world to the United States and to the Yoga community of the Midwest.
Many in the Yoga community have asked how they can do more. Yoga for Freedom offers that opportunity. In the summer of 2009, Jesse Bach, Executive Director of The Imagine Foundation and Michael Hess, Nepal Orphans Home founder, created the concept of Yoga for Freedom in the hopes of uniting the Yoga spirit with the beauty of the natural landscape of Nepal. Yogis from around the world would become part of the Nepal Orphans Home family while also experiencing the birthplace of Yoga, Buddhism, and Hinduism.
Yoga for Freedom will test your physical, spiritual and emotional limits. While experiencing and exploring the wonders of Nepal, you will not only receive a new outlook on life, but also give a child a chance for their own.
Part of your Yoga for Freedom tuition goes directly to support children who have suffered great indignities at the hands of others as well as children rescued from lives of extreme poverty. Meet the children, be the change, and experience the wonder of our world. Experience Yoga for Freedom.
